The process took about 2-3 months from the 1st meeting with the salesperson (who explained everything clearly & concisely) to going live.
They look at your estimated electricity usage from past bills, as well as positioning of your roof to work out the number of panels needed to produce enough electricity.
This then allows them to calculate your monthly payment since there is NO upfront cost whatsoever.
You pay a flat monthly rate which increases by 3% per year.
Considering electricity costs are highly unlikely to decrease going forward, it is definitely worth considering.
The company communicate very clearly and handle all the necessary paperwork and authorizations when dealing with your current electricity provider keeping the process as smooth and efficient as possible. Signatures can be done electronically.
A monthly direct debit is set up.
An an Online App is also available to enable monitoring of energy production & usage.
Although we have only been connected so far for a couple of summer months it seems that the company’s calculations are accurate and it will certainly be interesting how things vary going in to the fall and winter.

We recently had a crew come to our home in Presque Isle , Michael Lee and the crew knew exactly what needed done, they all were very respectful and informative, They worked steady in hot temperatures and never complained, I was so grateful to have such a fantastic crew hanging around my home, they kept me informed and finish the huge project in two days! A Huge shout out to them for being so professional and productive.

Wasn't expecting to ever get solar. Our consultant, Bryan, came to our house in central Kennebec County area and mapped out a solar panel plan and discussed all the pros and cons. The pros outweighed the cons so we took the leap, and not having any start up/up front costs was helpful. The communication with Suncovia was pretty good. The power company seemed to take the most time in getting everything completed for the set up process. No issues for the week and a half it's been running, so off to a good start.
I am very pleased with the results of having new shingles installed and having my solar panels removed and reinstalled. both parts of the project went very well. my contact, Justyn Sievers kept me updated on when each stage of the project would be completed. the crews were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up the property before they left the jobsite. I would recommend them highly.
Suncovia worked with us since last summer. Although we thought the system would be up and running by late fall, we flipped the switch on May 12. We’re excited to be using solar and looking forward to receiving the information to track how much we use vs how much is being sent into CMP’s grid. It’s like having a mini generating plant in your backyard as we did the ground mount style of solar panels. We’re looking forward to seeing how this continues to work throughout this year and many years to follow.

Project went well; Steven Martinez did what he promised, All the parts were delivered by a friendly and helpful driver, both installing crews did a great job one from Bangor & Westbrook. 5 hours total install. CMP OK, then turn on.
Totally hands off install and setup, would recommend to friends and family.
